This coffee is a fully washed (Wet Process) coffee from the Lake Kivu District in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This is a limited edition Coffee and we only have 50kg in total available.
The coffee is medium roast and has flavour notes of dark chocolate and species with a lemony acidity. Ideal for filter and plunger brews.
Additional Info:
Coffee from the DRC is not freely available and only 50 odd bags were brought in by our importers. The DRC, like many African and other coffee producing countries in Central America, has been plagued by Civil unrest ever since they became independent. They used to produce about 120 000 tonnes of coffee per annum. Now they produce only about 10 000 tonnes.
